Samir Gupte has 20 years of experience across Advertising and Activation. He has worked with Grey, DDB Mudra, Ogilvy and Geometry Global. His specialization is in the area of Experiential, Shopper & Trade and Field marketing.
He has a deep understanding of low-income and rural consumers, and has developed expertise in communicating and engaging with them. In his last assignment as the President of OgilvyAction India, he led the largest and most complex Field Marketing operations in India and managed a team of more than 360 people and a work force of 4500+ people across 11 offices. He ran the largest ever on-ground consumer contact programme in the Unilever world spread across 17 brands and 50,000 villages, reaching out to 25 million women and 400,000 retailers directly.
He has won multiple creative and effectiveness awards like AME, PMAA, MAA Globes, EFFIES, EMVIES, Cannes, CLIO, RMAI and various other local awards across 2 countries.
As the Managing Director of Geometry Global Indonesia, he currently manages a team that looks after clients like Unilever, BAT, Philips, Coke and Indosat Telecom.
