CEO at Mindshare Indonesia & South East Asia
Himanshu Shekhar is currently CEO of Mindshare* South East Asia and a media leader with over 16 years of diverse experiences across two of the world’s largest emerging markets, India, Indonesia and South East Asia.
An Indian national, Himanshu came to Indonesia in 2010 to lead Mindshare Unilever Team, before being appointed as CEO, country operations in 2011.
Prior to Indonesia assignment, Himanshu had served in various leadership roles in India. He was with Mindshare India during 2000-2008 and lastly served as General Manager for Mindshare Fulcrum.
In Mindshare India, he incubated LAM (Local Area Marketing) and was deeply associated with some of the break through thinking on 360 media solutions for brands like Lifebuoy, surf & Wheel and have received global recognitions.
During 2008-10 he was BusinessHead North & West for BIG FM, India’s largest FM radio network and lead a team of 700 people across 35 offices spread across n 12 Indian states.
Mindshare Indonesia has been a journey of systemic transformation. Driving new thinking with key strategic partnerships in new and old media has brought wide acclaim and recognition.
An advocate of non-traditional thinking Himanshu has been pivotal in transforming Mindshare in to a strong digital player. On Sept 5, 2015, Mindshare Indonesia was awarded “The Mobile Agency of the year” at Asia Pacific SMARTIES 2014 (Annual award from Mobile marketing association). This was the first for any agency from Indonesia
He is a Graduate in Mathematics Honours and MBA from BHU (Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi) one of the leading University in India.
