Samir has more than 23 years of experience across Advertising, Activation and Shopper Marketing. He has spent more than 17 years with the Ogilvy group and rest with agencies like Grey and DDB Mudra in India.
He has been in Indonesia since 2013. He currently heads Soho Square Advertising, managing integrated communication campaigns for clients like Philips, Mondelez, 3M, Tempo Scan and Allianz. Prior to this he was the Managing Director of Geometry Global Indonesia leading clients like Unilever, Indosat, Coca-Cola, Danone etc. managing their Shopper and Experiential marketing campaigns.
Before moving to Jakarta, in his last assignment as the President of OgilvyAction India, he led one of the largest and most complex Field Marketing operations in India and managed a team of more than 300 people and a work force of 4500+ people across 11 offices. He managed clients like Unilever, Vodafone, GSK, Star TV etc. and worked on several behavioral change campaigns for them.
He has won multiple creative and effectiveness awards like Cannes, CLIO, Tangrams/AME, EFFIES India, PMAA, MAA Globes, EMVIES, RMAI and various other local awards across 2 countries.
